‘There is no distance too far between friends, for friendship gives wings to the heart.’

One of the sad aspects about living abroad is that you often have to get used to the comings and goings of human friends and doggie friends. These friends live here just for a while with future plans to move to another country or back to where they came from.
This week our dear friend Juliet is leaving to return to England.

England is not far! In fact, it is quicker to travel there then to drive across London! However, it does mean that after this week, Juliet is no longer round the corner to join us on any of our walks 😦
Like the walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat or to Eze Village.

Nevermind, when she comes to visit we will plan lots of fabulous walks…goodie for me eh? 🙂 And when we go to England she can come and stay with us and enjoy the forest walks nearby.
To help Juliet move back, her Mum and Aunts came over to stay. So, before the work began, we took them up to one of my favourite view points for a breath of fresh air.
Juliet and her humans with me at ‘My Bench’.
Then we went up as high as we could for the 360° view.
Everyone enjoyed the birds’ view across the coasts of France and Italy.
Here’s a little video of the views when I was here with my pal Toffee:
Just when I thought you couldn’t be any higher…
…a few big ‘fwa-fwa-fwa-fwa’ machines flew over us!
Well, everyone had a nice time with their heads in the clouds.
Time to get back down to sea-level and the reality of packing up!
Zola-inspection of jobs that need to be done.
The removal boxes are out ready for filling. I’ll have a snooze while they get on with it..Zzzzz.
Hope they don’t take this sofa!
See you later Juliet…we will miss you ! Look forward to fun times ahead with you!
xxx and a slobbery zola lick 🙂
First I am crying now I’m laughing!…thank you for all those fun times. Will miss you but will be back xx
Zola, we are so envious of all the beautiful places you have to hike!! Sorry your friend is leaving; hope you see her again soon.

Sigh… we have the same issue here. It’s sad when all your goodbyes are at the airport. 😦
Hi Zola,
Sorry that your best mate is returning to the UK but I’m sure she’ll be back to visit you!
Love,
Homer
