Quiet times…

My human has to take it easy for the next few weeks since she has had the dizzies & ouchies.  The human vets said she really has to rest in bed and do nothing, which is probably one of the worst things you can ask her to do! 😦

However,  she is listening and following their advice to take some quiet times…

She didn’t want to stay closed away in the bedroom, so she organised for her mattress to be plonked in the middle of the living room where she could rest, use her computor and keep an eye on everything!

She still has to do at least two things at the same time even when lying down…typical!

It’s actually quite nice that she is resting there since she can get to the kitchen (for my treats!), watch tv and look out of the window to see the happy sunshine and blue skies.  We are very lucky since we have views of our orange trees, the sea and all the super boats and yachts that go by…so it always brings a smile to look out.

Most importantly, we have a great view of the front gate which is necessary for ‘patrol watch’ when my friends come round to play!

The comfy mattress is on my favourite rug, upon which, even as a young pup, I would normally have my siesta snooze…and now I can’t…humpf!  Vikki felt a bit guilty that she had taken over my rug space, so she lets me have my snoozies on the mattress…I must say it is far more comfortable than the rug…I think this thing should stay here!

My strong Ridgeback positive energy is definitely making her feel better….Zzzzzzzz…

Vikki has been reading lots about blood!  The human vet has given her iron supplements to take since she needs more iron in her blood.  So she has been learning all about iron-rich foods for humans.  She also read about the super rich iron foods for us doggies, click here for more information.

Whilst reading about this, she came across a belief theory that different blood types suit different types of diets and exercise!  Click here if you want to read more about it.

For thousands of years the Japanese have also believed that blood types can determine personality traits.  Vikki is blood type AB+ , which according to Japanese beliefs make her a sentimental, creative person..click here to find out about your blood type…I wonder what my doggie blood type personality is?….Oh that’s easy!…obviously….cool, calm and sophisticated eh?…its in my blood you know… 🙂

My sophisticated look with my Audrey Hepburn collar!

In between my playdates and walks that have been arranged, I continue my important nursing doggie duties lying by her side.  She is very proud of me that I am such a good girl 🙂 ….Zzzzzzzzzz…..

We are so grateful and thankful to our friends for all the yummy homemade dinners and soups full of special iron-rich ingredients.  Also, for all the other goodies; the dark chocolate (another iron-rich necessity…erhm!), lovely flowers from my Papa Sion, playdates & walks organised, phone calls, e-mails, useful advice and books to read…Thank you so much xx

Vikki was worried that I would not get the exercise and play activities that I am used to, which she thinks are very important…so a special paws up to Toffee and his human for taking extra time with me on my walks..we owe you a nice big iron-rich lamb’s neck as a huge thank you treat. 🙂
