My girlfriend Sunny came over to stay with us a few days ago.
Sunny’s human had to go out for a long evening event and was concerned that Sunny was going to be alone and bored for far too long. An easy peasy solution, especially since we are neighbours: ‘Sunny could come to stay with us!’ 🙂
Sunny had already been over a few times to play, so she knew her way around, but this was the first time she was going to stay the evening without her human.
When Sunny arrived, we were both very excited to see each other and pretty much shot off up the stairs together to play!
We were so distracted, we didn’t even notice that Sunny’s human had quietly left! We were too busy following one another around, very keen to see what each other was doing all the time!
Vikki was walking around being extra nosey and watching what we were up to.
We then had a little explore in the garden together and once we had both left each other some pee-mails for sniffs at a later date, we went back inside.
We were very calm after that, just happy to hang out in the living room with Vikki whilst she got on with some reading. In fact, we were quite exhausted since we had met up for a long walk earlier in the afternoon and it was all catching up with us!
We are both single dogs in our homes, so it is also quite tiring just being together when you are not used to it. We were told it was time to settle down…phew!..I don’t think I could have kept my eyes open for much longer…
ZZZzzzzzzzz….
Sunny had my special comfy Ridgipad bed to curl up on with her human’s soft fleece jacket and a blanket to cuddle. Vikki had asked Sunny’s human to bring an unwashed jumper/ fleece full of her nice human scent on it for Sunny to smell and feel more relaxed…it seemed to work.
Whereas I had my blanket on the yellow sofa I am allowed on (I know I’m a lucky girl!)
Yawn….Peace and quiet, drifting into deep slumber….a nice big sigh…mmmm….settled down..ZZZzzzzz…snug and snoozey……bliss…
BUT, Oh No! What’s that terrible drilling noise? There’s the sound of an engine coming from Sunny’s mouth? SNORING! Arghhh!…and it was getting louder and louder!………Humpf! 😦
Oh Wow, it looks to me like you two had tons of fun!

Nice to meet you, Zola. Thanks for visiting our blog. You are a very beautiful girl. And it must have been nice to have a sleepover with your friend. Your human is very smart to have Sunny bring along osmething that smelled like her human. Thunder is a bit of a snorer, but usually only when he is really exhausted. Ciara does a pretty good job of getting him to that point:)
We will be back to hear about more of your adventures.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
So lovely to have a visitor Zola ~ especially when its a good friend!
Pity about the snoring though! I have been told that I am quite the snorer, but I don’t believe it.
You both look so sleepy!
your pal,
Digby
What a happy time you had! I love having friends come to stay!
What a good friend you have in Sunny! I’m sure you helped her feel right at home.
