Hi Zola!
I saw you leave a comment on Holly & Zac’s blog (and you are friends with my great friend, Lucille!) – saying you would like to meet other big doggies – so I thought I would pop by and say hello! I think you are the most beautiful girl – my humans loved Ridgebacks. And you live in such a beautiful country! My human is looking forward to following your blog with me because she will be going to France for a holiday this summer so she wants to know more about your beautiful country! 🙂
You know, I have a little swirl of fur on the back of my neck too – like a mini-ridge – and lots of people always ask if I’m a cross with a Ridgeback! Hee! Hee! Of course, they don’t understand – a ridgeback ridge is totally different. And Danes can have ridges on the back of their necks – it is quite common. My mother had the same ridge at the back of her neck but I was the only puppy in my litter who had a ridge though. (if you go to one of my recent posts: http://bighoneydog.com/newhome-newcastle/ – there is a picture of me sitting, looking out of the window and you can see the ridge at the back of my neck!) After all, all ridge-dogs were originally created by breeding natural mutations, right?
I recently moved home with my humans – from Queensland to NSW – with a big road trip! We had a really hard time finding a place to rent that would accept a Great Dane but we have finally found somewhere!
Anyway, I hope you will come to visit me and we can be blog friends!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Thank you soooo much for your hello Honey. Yes I see your cool swirl mini-ridge.wow – maybe the doggie-gods give that to a few Great Danes to remind them of their great accomplishment in helping to create us Ridgebacks. We are reading all about your adventures travelling and finding your new home…and everything else! You are wonderful – Vikki keeps smiling at certain things on your blog…and then nodding…she won’t tell me why!..humpf! Anyway – Honey I think you have given me your dancing gene..but don’t tell any other Ridgies…yikes..I don’t think many of them are in touch with their artisitic side!
